Liver Health Education

We develop evidence-based resources to support patients, caregivers, health professionals, and anyone interested in better liver health. Through engaging videos, easy-to-understand brochures, and informative blogs, we empower our community with knowledge about liver diseases, promote liver-friendly lifestyles, and provide practical guidance on how to advocate for your health.

Peer Support

Our in-person peer support network and virtual peer support groups provides those affected by liver disease with a safe space to share their experiences. We aim to connect you with people who have similar stories to build meaningful connections within the liver community.

LIVERight Webinars

Our webinar series is a year-round virtual program designed to provide reliable evidence-based information to educate and empower Canadians to better understand liver health. These sessions feature leading health professionals offering their expertise on a wide range of topics including specific liver diseases, nutrition, treatment options, and emerging research.

LIVERight Health Forums

Our annual LIVERight Health Forums are in-person events that bring together liver specialists, nurse practitioners, researchers, and other healthcare professionals with members of our community. These forums provide practical tools and trusted information to help individuals better understand liver health, stay informed on emerging research, and feel more confident advocating for their care. By creating space for connection and shared experiences, the forums create a sense of community and support among those affected by liver disease.

LIVERight School Program

We believe education is key to lifelong liver health. Our school program delivers fun, interactive workshops to students in Grades 5–10, providing them with the knowledge they need to make healthy choices and prevent chronic liver disease.

Wellness with MASLD

Our six-week virtual program helps people living with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) make lasting lifestyle changes to improve their liver health. With fitness sessions, cooking demonstrations, and peer support programs, participants gain the tools to protect their liver and take charge of their health.

Liver Beware Screening Project

Our Liver Beware Screening Program is an annual initiative in British Columbia focused on the early detection of liver disease. Using non-invasive FibroScan technology, it helps identify signs of liver damage before symptoms appear. Founded by Dr. Francis Ho and co-led with Dr. Peter Kwan, the program reflects our commitment to improving liver health awareness and early liver disease diagnosis. By increasing access to screening and raising awareness, this project empowers individuals to take proactive steps toward better liver health.

Liver Cancer Referral Pathway Project

The Liver Cancer Referral Pathway Project (LCRPP) is a national pilot initiative designed to improve the early detection and referral of liver cancer, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). By creating clear, evidence-based referral guidelines, training primary care providers, and strengthening patient care navigation, the LCRPP aims to ensure that liver cancer is diagnosed earlier, leading to improved treatment outcomes.

Pre-transplant Navigation Support

Our pre-transplant navigation program offers personalized guidance, helpful resources, and support to create a living donor campaign and connect with potential donors in your network
