Dr. Kamath also shares how her current research project is increasing knowledge of Alagille syndrome around the world and improving outcomes and quality of life for children diagnosed with this rare liver disease.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Kamath is a Hepatologist, Clinician-Investigator and Interim Division Head at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, and a professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. She was educated at Cambridge University in England and trained a several London, England hospitals, including Kings College Hospital. In 2000, she moved to the Children\u2019s Hospital of Philadelphia where she completed her fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
