As a national charity, the Canadian Liver Foundation depends upon the generosity of individual Canadians, as well as corporate sponsors and federal, provincial and local governments, to fund our research and educational programs. These are the people that make it possible to unlock the doors leading to prevention strategies, treatments and – we hope – cures. Donations, bequests, sponsorships and grants, all help to put the keys in the hands of those who can take us across new thresholds. Direct Marketing Programs
Whether it involves phone calls, mail or personal visits, the CLF’s direct marketing programs share one thing in common – they provide opportunities for one-to-one conversations with our donors. The decision to give to a charity is a very personal one. By telling the stories of the patients and families affected by liver disease, and by demonstrating how liver health research provides hope and answers, we show our donors how they can reach out and make a difference in a very personal way.
Thanks to the generous support of Canadians coast to coast, we have been able to expand our research grant program encouraging more researchers to pursue liver studies. We have also launched new prevention programs and have taken our professional and public education initiatives to even broader audiences. Without our loyal donors, none of this would have been possible.

NOTE: The Canadian Liver Foundation does work with companies that help with our fundraising activities and processing. An example is a third party telemarketing company that conducts telephone fundraising campaigns on our behalf several times a year. Calls may come from different numbers depending upon where you live and callers will reference that they are calling from Engage Interactive Inc (a third party company). Should you have any questions or feedback about calls or correspondence you receive or wish to be removed from our calling or mailing lists, please contact Judy Thompson, Fund Development Coordinator at 1-800-563-5483, ext. 4945 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Corporate Partnership Programs
Corporations – especially those with large employee populations – cannot escape the impact of liver disease. Lost productivity, absenteeism and increased benefit costs, are just some of the consequences when employees or their family members are diagnosed. The Canadian Liver Foundation provides an opportunity for organizations to take an active role in promoting prevention or searching for cures and treatments. By stepping up to sponsor a major research grant, for instance, a company not only demonstrates how it puts a high priority on employee health but also shows its commitment to giving back to the community by providing hope for the future.
If your company would like to make a donation to the Canadian Liver Foundation, please contact Karen Seto at 1-800-563-5483, ext. 4939 or via email at email@example.com. If you would prefer, you may also make your donation online here, or send your donation to:

Many Canadians support one or many charities throughout their lifetimes. Some choose to continue their support with a bequest in their wills. A “will bequest” constitutes a “planned gift” but it is only one way to contribute a personal legacy.
The Canadian Liver Foundation's Planned Giving Program focuses on both on the present and the future. The program offers a number of options including will bequests, gifts of publicly traded stocks or mutual funds and life insurance policies. Depending upon which options are chosen, donors can reap the benefit of tax savings today as well as rebates in estate taxes in the future. For information on our 'Planned Giving' program, please click here.
Across the country, CLF chapters hold a variety of fundraising events that give the community an opportunity to contribute to the work of the Foundation while having lots of fun. For more information on events in your area, please visit CLF locations.
